Jaime Bird is a performance artist specializing in highly imaginative spectacles, which showcase an attention to detail and an understanding of audience interactions. These works use common cultural backdrops to form a picture of human behavior, often though the use of literary allusions, animal symbolism, references to historic theater, and personal mythologies. Many of her narratives include reference to her families ancestral past as Yankee whalers in colonial New England.

Jaime received her Bachelor in Fine Arts in 2009 from the University of Washington. In 2011, she was the exhibit educator intern for the Florida Aquarium. In 2013, she earned her Master of Fine Arts at the University of South Florida and attended three artist-in-residence programs, including a thematic residency at the Banff Centre with Sarah Anne Johnson. Jaime currently works and lives in New Orleans, Louisiana where she is a Prop Master for theatrical productions and a Production Manager for live concerts.
