The Jim Bowie Dime museum is a traveling museum in a wooden case fabricated while in residence at Mass MoCa. The case displays artifacts related to Bowie’s life and a miniature booklet which narrates the artifacts for guests.

The miniature booklet is hand-folded from a one-page layout. It explains the story of Jim Bowie’s life and how the Bowie knife came to be, as well as explaining the corresponding artifacts for guests.

Zine of sea creature drawings, in the permanent collection of UMass Darmouth.
This ongoing book project features chapters based on each state I have lived in. Connecticut, Washington, and Florida. Each chapter highlights particular creatures, factual or fictional, which have shaped my experience in that location. Connecticut features sperm whales, beavers, squirrels, and mythical satanic beasts. The book is hand bound and screen printed with a hand drawn title. The Louisiana chapter is currently in production. 2013- ongoing.

The opening acts featured a presentation of Harry Houdini’s patented diving suit and a view of what the diver sees as he explores the underwater world. The second half of the show presented myself as Harry Houdini performing the 100ft rope trick and the water torture chamber. Costumes, stage, set, props, and script created myself.

An arm wrestling championship featuring characters from Herman Melville’s Moby Dick. Contestants fight on a homemade crow’s nest surrounded by different species of whales set as a backdrop. Wrestlers fight amongst each other, then Ahab, and the bravest get to compete against the White Whale himself. The winner is doused with gatorade from a ceramic whale trophy and everyone eats whale shaped cake to celebrate.

The Code Duello series is a trio of performances related to unusual duels throughout the history of Colonial American dueling practices. This duel features combatants who must duel with pistols while on the backs of great cetecean beasts, through treacherous waters.

My first animation, Fangst was made on a ship at sea during the Arctic Circle Residency. It features animals upon the icebergs who encounter a whaling ship. It relates to a story I was told about how whaling sites were often covered with a specific green moss due to the decomposition of the animals bodies on the soil.
