Jaime Bird is a New Orleans-based multidisciplinary artist, stop motion animator, and sculptor behind Midnight Zone Mirror Ball. Through sculpture, animation, and immersive installation, she creates alluring sea creatures that blend whimsy, folklore, fantasy, and personal mythology into playful spectacles of wonder. Jaime is a longtime member of the Aquarium Gallery & Studios in the Bywater, and her stop motion work will appear in this year’s Fall edition of the 2026 HUMP! Film Fest by Dan Savage.
